Search for Man Over Board

Selsey all weather lifeboat “Voluntary Worker” launched at 08:01 to search for a man over board from the MV Delia in a position 23 miles South South East of Selsey Bill. “Voluntary Worker” arrived on scene at 09:20.

A search was made of the area along with the Bembridge Lifeboat and Portland Coastguard Helicopter “Whiskey Bravo”. After searching for 6 hours in deteriorating weather conditions the search was called off at 15:31, with nothing being found.

At 15:32 Voluntary Worker returned to station, rehoused at 16:25 and was ready for service once more at 16:50.
