Selsey volunteer crew were paged at 4.19 a.m. on Thursday 9th April 2015 to launch the 'D' class Lifeboat 'Betty and Thomas Moore'.
Sussex police had requested a Lifeboat attendance at Bognor Pier where they were searching for two vulnerable females. The Lifeboat was launched at 4.31 a.m. and soon after launching the two females were found by the police and the Lifeboat was stood down. The weather was calm with moderate visibility.
The inshore Lifeboat returned to station and was rehoused, washed down and made ready for service by 4.55 a.m.
