Reg Marchant and his mobility scooter, left Poole, Dorset on 2 April with a target of visiting all mainland Britain’s lifeboat stations collecting donations on the way for the RNLI.
Eighteen weeks into the venture Reg, together with his support team: wife Brenda, Brian Scott and Sam the dog stopped off at Selsey RNLI Lifeboat Station – the 145th to be visited!
The project got off to a great start with Days Healthcare providing the mobility scooter and Chichester Caravans (Bromsgrove), supplying a caravan for the support team and overnight stays.
So far approximately £4,000 has been collected and with only one week to go the team is reflecting on an amazing experience but also looking forward to a well earned rest! Well done Reg, Brenda and Brian – not forgetting lucky mascot Sam.
